I love this retro-cinematic shoot in this month's V mag. Looks such as these aren't always as straightforward as some might think (a litle heavy eyeliner..some bright red lip, black and white photography, voila!?). Because of the fabulous team this is a clear example of amazing execution but under other circumstances what could be a very powerful shoot could easily delve into "cheesy" territory. Its really those subtle elements that bring it all together, how the models are clearly showing their consciousness of the camera, but not being determined by it, the styling is very sexy and contemporary pin-up but not cheesecake or costume and of course the photography is amazing. Don't try this at home kids....

Great great shoot. I love the dappled lighting and smoke, it gives the whole story a slightly, dare I say, seedy feel. It feels quite edgy, not naive at all!
