When I spotted these interesting and creepy (in a good way) photo-manipulations of skulls I couldn't help but reminisce.









I was immediately taken back to 2006 when there was an explosion of skulls, t-shirts necklaces, etc. All ignited by that McQueen skull scarf and its subsequent copies. I still see those darn scarves every now and then, and I love/hate them. This also reminded me of a trip to Amsterdam several months ago when I finally got to see Damien Hirst's jeweled skull in the flesh. It was glorious, and being the cheeseball I am, I bought souvenirs. When it comes to fashion, this rather gothic symbol of things long dead will never die.
