I've always perceived fashion to be an insanely contradictory summation of aesthetics in that it combines society, art, and culture to create a mere piece of clothing or accessories that we wear for purely superficial reasons.
In the case of designer and artist Yogendra Sethi, his unique jewelry works are directly derived from his fine art works. With over 40 years experience working with fine jewelry and an advanced degree in Fine Art, the artist clearly has a developed and sharpened aesthetic sense, which he uses to create vibrant works of art and equally vibrant pieces of jewelry using fancy color diamonds, precious gemstones and pink gold. Launched in March of 2009, this line features some highly detailed pieces which I had the pleasure of seeing in person this past Thursday.
Below are a few selections of jewelry along with the artwork that inspired them as well as one amazing ring that I have to admit upon viewing it was love at first sight.

His work is amazing - you can truly see his point-of-view as an artist expressed through the beautiful natural colored diamonds and gemstones in his jewelry....I want to see this in person!
